The WAI operates in the greater King County region, teaching classes on bystander intervention and self-defense, conducting used needle pick-ups, coordinating outreach to individuals experiencing homelessness, neighborhood crime watch, providing additional crowd control and street medic services during protests, and conducting safety campaigns in high-risk areas.

​”Our members are asked to obtain their C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team, through FEMA) certification, stay current on First Aid & CPR for adults and infants, and encouraged to take any additional skills courses as offered in the community.”
